Loathsome No More! is a small, independent publishing collective. We publish books, reviews, and other printed objects that do not respond well to commercial pressure.
We are not a brand, a platform, or a cultural service. We do not optimize for growth, visibility, or market alignment. We publish work we believe should exist in physical form and remain available long enough to matter.
Authors and creators retain control of their work. Editorial decisions are made collaboratively and without institutional distance. Money, when it exists, is used to print, distribute, and sustain future publications, not to scale the operation into something unrecognizable.
We believe that these are scary times if one wishes to remain a compassionate, empathetic, tolerant, open-minded, thoughtful, and well-read human being. The looming threat of Fascism, the crushing brainrot of Late-Stage-Capitalism, climate crises, censorship dressed as moral progress, international conflict, religious wars, homelessness, starvation, etc., etc., etc.--and all during an age of unprecedented human accomplishment and comfort--have driven us to look for answers and solutions and sustainability in community and the power of small, ethical markets that are responsive to a collective morality. All ideologies welcome. Confrontation can lead to collaboration. This world could be a most beautiful place, but the punks were right: we're going to have to DIY!
